DEVON SOUND AND LIGHT DISCO/FULL HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DEFINITIONS

When hiring equipment from us you are agreeing to and are bound by these terms and conditions.

‘The equipment’ shall mean any items hired by Devon Sound and Light, and ‘the customer’ refers to the person, firm, corporate or public body hiring the equipment. All equipment supplied to the customer remains the property of Devon Sound and Light at all times.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF DISCO/FULL HIRE

The booking is confirmed when a non-refundable deposit is paid and Devon Sound and Light have sent a confirmation of the booking. Full payment is then due at the start of the night/disco.

Cancellation

Cancellation two weeks before the event will be charged at 50% of the total cost, cancellation one week before the event will be charged at 75% of the total cost and cancellation the day before or the day of the event will be charged at 100%.

Any delayed set up time or delayed start time due to the overrun of any prior proceedings will not warrant any extension of the stated finish time or any fee reduction.

The customer must supply a minimum of one hour to enter the venue and set up prior to the start time and also a similar time allowance at the end of the night to pack up.

DJ Equipment

It is agreed by the customer that the equipment is not available for use by other performers or persons except by specific permission of Devon Sound and Light.

Devon Sound and Light accepts no liability for music termination caused by any ‘sound limiter’ shutting off the supply of electricity to the DJ’s equipment.

The customer must seek permission from the venue to enable Devon Sound and Light to use a smoke machine.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate provision of electrical power within five meters of the DJ’s set up point.

Devon Sound and Light are not to be any way liable for not supplying a service because of an event that is beyond Devon Sound and Lights control. This can include (but not limited to) acts of terrorism, social unrest, protests, extreme weather or a natural disaster.

Devon Sound and Light and its operatives are at no time responsible for any injury to persons or damage to property by the miss use of our equipment by anyone attending the event. Devon Sound and Light reserves the right to suspend or terminate their services with immediate effect without refund if our DJ’s are verbally or physically abused.

Devon Sound and Lights’ equipment is electrically safe (PAT Tested) and we are insured for Public Liability up to ten million pounds.

Acceptance of equipment acknowledges acceptance of these terms and conditions.
